Passover Seder

We celebrated Passover and had our seder with lots of family this year.  William didn't last very long, but Sophia sat pretty nicely through our abbreviated (kid friendly) seder and dinner.

A few weeks ago when Sophia was out of school, we went to Uncle Scott's house to visit.  Sophia had so much fun helping him play his guitar!  We can't wait to visit again soon!

Yes, a month later I am finally posting some pictures.  During Purim I got to go in to Sophia's school and help the class make hamentashen.  They were not pretty, but they sure were delicious!

6 months

In the past month, William seems like he has grown up so much!  At 5 1/2 months, William had his first solid food.  We started with rice cereal and moved on to oatmeal.  At 6 months we are starting him on fruits and vegetables.  He absolutely loves his cereal, and took to it very quickly.  He even cries when it's gone!  We took out the Jumperoo about halfway through the month, and he is a great jumper already!  At the end of the month, William started to tripod.  He still isn't very steady, but is getting stronger every day.

William's favorite book is If I Were a Cow, and he starts giggling when he sees it.  He also loves the song The Noble Duke of York and laughs hysterically through the whole thing.  He especially likes it at gym class when we're bouncing on the trampoline. 

6 month stats:
Height- 27 inches (69%)
Weight- 16 lbs 2 oz (24%)

William is tall and skinny like his daddy!

Sophia's first hair cut

Last week I took Sophia to Pigtails and Crewcuts for her first hair cut!  Because she has curly hair, we haven't needed to cut her hair before now.  She just needed a little trim to make the ends healthy.  We went to gym and planned to get her hair cut after.  She was so excited when she heard her friend Ty was going to get his hair cut too!  When we got there she picked out an airplane to sit in, and did such a good job sitting still.  When she was done, she even got a braid and some jewels put in her hair.

Last week we all took our first plane ride as a 4 person family to go visit Grandma and Pa, as well as Nonna and Nonno who had come over from Italy. Sophia was super excited to ride on a plane she was literally running and bouncing off the walls. Going through the airport and flying wasn't the easiest with 2 kids, but we survived!

Sophia loved playing in the shallow area of the pool, and would not let Nonno go inside to cook lunch! She kept calling him out... "Nonno!!! Vieni qui!!!"








Sophia loved hanging out with Grandma especially when she was using the iPad. Wouldn't you know it, my daughter is a geek.









Every morning William got to spend lots of time with Nonno since he thought it would be a good idea to wake up at 6am. Luckily Nonno is an early riser too, and he and William read the Italian newspaper together on the computer.

Cousin Andrew came over one afternoon and Sophia loved playing with him. Her favorite activity was making bubbles.

We all had a FANTASTIC time and William and Sophia loved seeing Nonna, Nonno, Grandma and Pa. We can't wait to visit again!

William's first hair cut

Last week I decided that William was ready for his first hair cut.  He has had a ton of hair since he was born, but it was starting to get a little crazy.  He had payos sticking out on the sides of his head (I called them his wings) and a mullet in the back.  I got some scissors and snipped off his wings, and trimmed the mullet.  He looks like such a big boy now!  When he is a little older he will have his first official hair cut, but this is enough for now!
