Last weekend we had family come to visit for Sophia's baby naming. Nonna and Nonno were here, as well as Grandma, Uncle Michael, Tante Judi and cousins Andrew and Justin. We had a great time visiting with all of the family, and Sophia's baby naming was held on Saturday afternoon. We had a yummy brunch with family and some close friends. Sophia had fun visiting with all of the guests, and even playing with her friends for a little bit.

Then Rabbi Brad came to officiate the naming ceremony. We gave Sophia the Hebrew name Batia Elisheva after my grandma Bernice and Jason's grandfather Ernesto. Jason and I each wrote a speech explaining why she was named after each of them to tell to the guests. Rabbi Brad recited several blessings, we had a sip of wine (Sophia got to taste too!), and said the Hamotzi so we could have challah. Sophia enjoyed spending time with everyone and was in a great mood for the entire afternoon.
