Shabbat Bag

One time each school year, one of Sophia's classmates gets to take home the class Shabbat bag. This weekend was Sophia's turn! The Shabbat bag is a bag that contains all of the items you need to have Shabbat at home...candlesticks, candles, challah, and a kiddush cup. There is also a Shabbat bear that the kids get to play with for the weekend. Sophia was so excited to have her turn, and impressed us by knowing all of the words to the prayers!

Family Fun

The past few weeks we've been having a lot of fun with the family! William has started playing in his exersaucer, which he loves, and Sophia loves to help him play with the toys. We also got to visit with our cousins when they were in town.

4 months

Our baby boy is 4 months old! William has become a very good night time sleeper, but still not the best napper. He's still waking up once to eat, but goes to sleep at about 7:00 so that's not surprising. He's getting better at tummy time, but still doesn't want to push up with his arms yet. He loves to eat his hands and pull Mommy and Sophia's hair. He loves kisses on his cheeks and on his belly. He's gotten very good at grabbing the toys on his play mat, and is starting to hold toys that we give him for a few minutes. He watches everything, and especially likes to look at his big sister. He really likes his touch and feel books at bedtime, and likes us to help him feel the different textures.

4 month stats:
Height: 25 inches - 54%
Weight: 14 lbs- 32%

Random Cuteness

We haven't posted many pictures lately. Having 2 kids keeps us very busy! Just wanted to put up some random cute pictures we took lately.

Of course Sophia had to play on the Bumbo too! Amazing she didn't get wedged in there.

Sophia started ballet last week...she loves getting dressed up.

Happy New Year!

Family Hanukkah parties

The kids were so lucky to get to celebrate Hanukkah for all 8 nights! In addition to celebrating at home, we had 2 family Hanukkah parties. The first was with Cousins Laura, Greg, Allan, and Ben. They invited us over for a delicious meal and then we lit the candles and exchanged gifts. Sophia had so much fun playing with her cousins, especially ring around the rosie.

The second party was with the Segal cousins. We had a yummy dinner and Daddy made some delicious latkes for everyone to eat. We also celebrated cousin Brenna's birthday. Sophia loves hanging out with her cousins Madelyn, Ava, and Levi.
