1 month old!

Wow! What a busy month we've had! And it's crazy to think that Sophia shouldn't even be here yet! Sophia is growing and gaining lots of weight. At her 1 month doctors appt, she weighed 7 lbs 2 oz and was 20 inches! She is in the 5th% for weight and the 12th% for length. Last time she wasn't even on the chart yet! She is becoming much more alert, and is starting to like watching the toys rotating on her swing and hanging from her bouncy seat.

Now that Sophia is home, it's up to Mommy and Daddy to give her a bath. Sophia loved being in the warm water and was so happy....until we took her out! We hope that she will love bath time and will be a favorite part of her night time routine.

Sophia also had her first outing with Mommy (shopping of course!), first visit to the doctor to see Dr. Julie (otherwise known as cousin Julie), and first nap in her crib.

Coming home!

Sophia came home today! She has finished all 8 bottles for the past 2 days and passed her car seat test! She's gaining weight and weighs 5 lbs 13 oz today. As wonderful as the nurses in the NICU were, we'd be happy to never see them again. We hope you like your new home!

Visits from Family

Since Sophia was in the NICU, we only allowed family to come visit her until she went home. She had lots of fun snuggling with Nana, Pop, and Aunt Jennifer. They loved visiting with Sophia but never could decide who would get to hold her first!

Sophia was in such a hurry to get here ( 5 1/2 weeks early) that she has to spend a little time in the NICU. She is doing great, but needs a little extra help eating. She is getting stronger by the day and we can't wait to have her home with us!
