Rollin' Rollin' Rollin'

William started rolling from his back to his belly a few weeks ago, and we were able to catch it on camera. Unfortunately he hasn't learned to roll back which means once he rolls, he's stuck! This isn't much fun when he rolls in his crib at 3am and cries for help.

Family Shabbat

Last Friday was Family Shabbat for Sophia's class at school. Jason, William, and I all went to school to celebrate with her. Sophia came running in the room, so excited to see us (especially to see her Daddy!). All of the kids sat at tables and showed us their morning routine. Then they got their artwork to show their parents and then said all of the prayers. When they were done, we all had challah and juice.

Fun times

Here's a random collection of pictures from the past month. We're trying to be better about taking pictures!

5 months old

In the past month, William has gotten very good at holding and playing with toys. He can bring both hands together to grab a toy, and can shake it and put it in his mouth. He loves his exersaucer and can grab at and spin the toys on there too. He found his feet and loves to grab at them and eat them. He kicks at the toys on his bouncy seat, and kicks in the water during bath time. This month William started rolling over! He can roll from his back to belly, but not belly to back. By the end of the month, he was a pro, and he gets stuck on his belly many times each night. William is sleeping about the same, and is generally taking 3 naps a day now. We sleep trained him this month, so he now puts himself to sleep for naps and at bedtime.

Such a big boy!

Shabbat Bag

One time each school year, one of Sophia's classmates gets to take home the class Shabbat bag. This weekend was Sophia's turn! The Shabbat bag is a bag that contains all of the items you need to have Shabbat at home...candlesticks, candles, challah, and a kiddush cup. There is also a Shabbat bear that the kids get to play with for the weekend. Sophia was so excited to have her turn, and impressed us by knowing all of the words to the prayers!

Family Fun

The past few weeks we've been having a lot of fun with the family! William has started playing in his exersaucer, which he loves, and Sophia loves to help him play with the toys. We also got to visit with our cousins when they were in town.

4 months

Our baby boy is 4 months old! William has become a very good night time sleeper, but still not the best napper. He's still waking up once to eat, but goes to sleep at about 7:00 so that's not surprising. He's getting better at tummy time, but still doesn't want to push up with his arms yet. He loves to eat his hands and pull Mommy and Sophia's hair. He loves kisses on his cheeks and on his belly. He's gotten very good at grabbing the toys on his play mat, and is starting to hold toys that we give him for a few minutes. He watches everything, and especially likes to look at his big sister. He really likes his touch and feel books at bedtime, and likes us to help him feel the different textures.

4 month stats:
Height: 25 inches - 54%
Weight: 14 lbs- 32%
