Sophia's Smiles

This morning after Sophia's breakfast, she and I were playing and I started making faces at her. She found it rather amusing and starting smiling a whole lot. Of course the video camera was on the other side of the room. I got it, but she wasn't smiling as much after i got back, although i did catch a few small ones.

I kept stopping the camera since it looked like she wasn't going to smile, and then as soon as i did that, she did, so I caught the back end of a few of them. The earlier ones were huge!

2 months old!

Sophia is 2 months old! Actually, she is really 2 months and 1 week now, but I was waiting for her 2 month checkup so I could post her "stats" too. She is getting more alert by the day, and is awake for an hour or so after each bottle now. She still loves her swing and has fun on her gymini as well. During tummy time she likes checking herself out in the mirror, and loves to lay on her back and look up at the star with the flashing lights and music. She is sleeping really well and usually has about a 5 hour stretch of sleep which is great for mommy and daddy! In the past few days, Sophia has definitely given us a few real smiles! She was really focused on daddy's face and smiled a few times in a row. No gas involved :)

Sophia loves to eat and is getting so big! At her 2 month appointment she weighed 10 lbs 2 oz and is 22 inches long. She is in the 26th% for weight and the 28th% for height. Lots of growing since last month! She had to get 1 oral immunization (which she thought was yummy!) and 4 shots today. She didn't like those, but the Toot Sweet (sugar water) helped her feel better pretty quickly. Meeting Gran

Last week Sophia got to meet Gran, her great grandmother, for the first time! Sophia loved cuddling with her when she came to our house to visit. We also got to go out to lunch and dinner with her. Sophia pretty much slept through them both! We can't wait to see Gran again soon!

Saturday night we went over to a friend's house to hang out since it's hard to go anywhere with 4 babies in the group. This was the first time Sophia got to be with all of her friends at the same time! The babies were very well behaved and we managed to get a picture of all 4 of them happy and awake at the same time! Olivia can't wait until all of the babies are a little older and can play with her!

A few weeks ago, we had a photographer come take pictures of Sophia. She's growing up so fast and we wanted to get some pictures to remember the early days of her life. Jason is a great photographer (he took the announcement photo!) but we also wanted to get a couple of family shots. We should be getting the proofs any day now! Below are a couple of the pictures.

The Molinari Family Visit

The Molinari family traveled from far away (Milan and London) to meet their new granddaughter and niece. Unfortuantely, Zio Gioel and Aunt Ronni haven't been able to make it yet. We hope they'll visit soon! Sophia went for her first dinner out while her nonni and zia were here and she did great! The next time they get to see Sophia, she will have grown so much!

Sophia is only one month old, but already has so many friends! She loves having friends come visit, and can't wait until she is big enough to play with them! Most of them are little like she is, but Olivia actually wanted to play with her.
