Ballet with Ms. Sandi

Sophia started taking ballet this year with a bunch of her friends from school.  Her teacher, Ms. Sandi, actually taught me and my sister ballet when we were kids!  Sophia loves her ballet class, and asks every day if it's ballet day.  She enters the studio each time through the little munchkin door that is just her height.  Jason and I got to observe last week, and saw their different warm ups, silly songs they dance to, and they even practiced their recital song.  They do tap for the first half, and then switch to ballet.  At the end, the kids curtsied before leaving. We can't wait to see her perform at her recital in May!

Halloween Fun

Sophia was so excited for Halloween this year, and had been talking about it for months.  She loved passing by the pumpkin patches and looking at all of the decorations.  For Halloween, we had a few friends over to go trick or treating.  After a quick dinner, we put on the kids costumes and headed out.  After a few unsuccessful tries at group pictures, we went out to trick or treat.  The big kids had a blast running from house to house getting candy while the babies enjoyed going for a ride in the wagon.

Shabbat Bag

A few weeks ago, Sophia had her turn with the Shabbat bag.  She was so excited, and couldn't wait for Daddy to get home from work so we could have Shabbat.  She first decorated her kiddush cup and played with the Shabbat bear.  She led us in the blessings over the candles, wine, and challah, and both kids loved eating the yummy challah.  Shabbat Shalom!

William's 1st day of school

Last week William started school!  He is in Mother's Morning Out one morning a week for a couple of hours.  His teachers are Ms. Julie and Ms. Sybil, just like Sophia had at this age!  I take him in after his morning nap, and he plays with toys, does art, goes outside, and has lunch.  He's doing pretty well so far....hopefully soon he will be excited to go to school each week, just like his big sister!

Pumpkin Patch

Last weekend we went up to Gainesville to the Kinsey Family Farm to a pumpkin patch.  Sophia was super excited to go.  She has been talking about the little pumpkin patch by our house since last Halloween!  We met Sophia's best friend from school up there and they had a blast playing together.  We picked out a pumpkin to bring home, went on a hay ride, fed the fish and ducks, played in the wagons, and pet some animals in the petting zoo.  We couldn't get both kids to look and smile at the same time, so we'll have to go to another pumpkin patch again before Halloween!

William's Jump Start Party

We held William's party at the gym where he takes classes during the week.  He loves Coach Todd, and we were thrilled that he would be leading the party.  We invited all of William's friends to the party, along with their families, and all of our family that lives in Atlanta.  We had a big turn out!  Coach Todd led the class for the babies while another teacher led a separate class for all of the older siblings.  After the class, we went in to the party room for pizza and cake, and then went home to open some presents.  William had a blast at his party!
