Purim and Parties

Last weekend was a busy one for our family! Friday night we went to our second Tot Shabbat at Temple Sinai. Rabbi Brad was doing the service, so the kids had fun as usual. Sophia's boyfriend, Brady, came too. In between dancing, Sophia enjoyed talking to Brady and grabbing his face. I guess he has really pinchable cheeks!

Sunday was Sophia's first ever Purim Carnival! We didn't have a costume for her to wear so I put her in her shirt with a princess crown on it. Just for the day we pretended it was a queen's crown and she was Queen Esther. She enjoyed watching the big kids dance and act silly on the dance floor. She did the cookie walk with Mommy and won cookies! Too bad she can't eat them yet! Then she got her face painted for the first time. She had a little flower painted on her face, but had a little trouble sitting still so it was smeared on her face. We even tried to make a Purim mask, but all she wanted to do was put her hands in the glue and eat the feathers.

Later that day, we went to Ben's 3rd birthday party. We went to Kangazoom and Sophia really enjoyed herself. Mommy took her in a jumpy and we jumped around together. She had a huge smile on her face and was having a great time! Then she played a little bit in the little kids area with the foam shapes. They sure were tasty!
